The air slips off of my tongue
Counting down the days of my end
Viewing my life through the glass
Too dark too see beyond
It shatters
Glass everywhere
Cutting through my thin layer
So thin its transparent
Everyone can see through me
There is nothing I can hide
The lies of loves tempt me
But are reflected by my pessimistic nature
Its the only way I know how to be
I cling to negativity as a baby clings to its mother
Letting go would bring more pain
Then I would perish
Perhaps that would be easier
The easy way out
My beliefs are scattered
My heart is faint
My body erodes
My appetite is lost to the wind
Failing is hard
Trying only makes it worse
Slowly Im turning back to how I once was

It's a great poem
Death is really well portrayed in the lines
and what a wonderfully cheerful poem!!!
haha, nah it's good, the only crits i could give would be that it would be more... im not sure, usful maybe if you put in the descrip why you felt like this or why u wrote it, cos i confess I somtimes feel this bad lol |

Good poem-
But I do not think death is an answer to lost love if that is your meaning.
Sometimes love is not all you expect it to be.
I hope you do not feel that death is the only answer as there are so many other choices.
