The Angel

Contributed by avanottingham on Friday, 5th November 2004 @ 08:07:44 AM in AEST
Topic: InspirationalPoems

There's an angel on fire
And somewhere inside you
A restless soul is screaming
Trying to break through

The wingless gods are dancing
To the rhythm of your pain
The darker days are roaming
Through the peace of your domain

The sky is fiercely crying
At the fading of the light
Endless stars are rushing
To guide you through the night

A shining army stands now
Admist the realm of fears
And that angel softly whispers
These words to stop your tears

"All you need to know
Is that nothing stays the same
And when you're feeling helpless
Love will call you name

But when darker days do find you
Know that no one is to blame
Just open your eyes into the light
And that love will still remain."

That angel leaves you now
Her message not unclear
That when the darkness finds you
Her light will reappear
