I am a virus
The silent killer that flows through your existance
Like the plague I strike without warning
Your memory fades, and reality mixes with fantasy
The muscles tighten and contract
You awake in the middle of the night, fighting for breath, soaked with sweat
I am a virus
I suck out all your energy
I will leave you with nothing
And return with a vengeance
You sit in the dark, alone
Blaming yourself because everyone else does
I bring to you the pangs of regret
Tears of desperation no longer offer comfort
And there is no cure
I am forever with you
Kill me, and you kill yourself
All your life, everything you ever worked for, all you ever loved
Would die with me
And what scares you the most is you think it might be worth it.
