Is My Mascara Running?

Contributed by Rxqueen on Saturday, 13th November 2004 @ 10:04:18 AM in AEST
Topic: hbadday

I don't want these paths of teardrop trips
wiped away by my own fingertips
leaving trails in my foundation
showing signs of my desperation.
I want to be able to give a true smile
one that comes like a good friend
and stays for a while.

I need to be loved,
but not a love like this
there is more to love than a hug
and a kiss

Grateful?
yes, maybe I should be
for I know there are people who go to bed alone
but you can be in love
and still be alone

When your love seeps out,
weeps out,
trails down your face...
lingers on your chin...
then plummits to the ground
not making a sound,
never reaching its home
yes,
you are alone

I want to love someone
who loves me
not my beauty
not my smile
but my soul
greedy?

Fine, I may be
for there are those with no one to hold
but why hold on to someone
who is empty,
shallow,
and cold?

I don't want these paths of teardrop trips
wiped away by my own fingertips
leaving trails in my foundation,
little maps of my desperation.
I want to be able to give a deep smile
one that comes like a true friend
and stays for a while.

I am sorry for those who have less
I don't ask for pity
for I created this mess
but now to you I must confesss
I only wish I had one more chance
to find a glimpse of happiness...

So beautifully written, I felt the outpour of emotions, and sorrows flow, and saw the visions imprinted from within, you have shown me something not many see, strength of character...and I wish for you that your day gets better, and love shines once again in your life....bright enough too dry the misery and fill your face with a smile to rival all happiness.

I have felt the same way. You can always tell when I girl is sad in a relationship. If she has little grey left-over lines on her face. Don't worry hun, real love will come your way one day, and those little grey lines will represent happiness instead of pain. Good write.
