It probably should.
It's not getting better.
You promised it would.
The wounds would get better.
Eventually Close.
But I am still open.
A terrified rose.
Lonely and Scared.
I can't find myself.
And now I am just...
A cold, empty shelf.
I can still see your face,
Your eyes are so blue.
I'll never get better.
I'll always miss you.

Love how you describe yourself as a flower with feelings.

Welcome to YPDC! I enjoyed this first post of yours. The title drew me in... *sigh*... blue roses, it sooo works.

Nicely done! Hope you stick around and keep posting...

Nice bit of self-promotion.

I like this poem, but feel you forced it out a bit with rhyming self and shelf.

Keep writing.

You were absolutely right.
It's a good poem.

And a good poet knows
their best stuff.
