Tears of Joy

Contributed by podiyan on Sunday, 6th March 2005 @ 11:00:13 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

I danced to the tunes of neverland
To the hymns of the unliberated;
Little did I know the pain they endured
To live through the whispers of the woods.

Love rests on the shades of ignorance
Of deceit and infidelity in its view;
The sweet mortal walked right through
Though but to taste tears of love

I looked on through the slit of ignorance
With my mind tightly bound;
The tears of joy once seen aplenty
Turned not to look back and smile a dime

Oh! Why did not I unlock the threads
That held me so tightly for despair;
The pain that I once tasted to dread
Was there for ever to stay on and on.

I took her slowly in my arms,
With trembling feet and fleeting thoughts;
My love unhindered for her to see
The joy that life once meant to her.

What are you talking about inability?
This work is absolutely excellent....
beautyful pace, wonderful images, powerful feelings.....
At least in my oppinion, this is what maes a good poem...
and if this poem shouldn't meet these expectations, then I'm honestly wondering what all the other lot of low-niveau poems are doing on this site...
go on working like this, you've got a gift for it.
