I Am

Contributed by Daniels_Princess on Saturday, 23rd April 2005 @ 07:58:20 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Death creeps closer
With blood-shot eyes
Thorns piercing skin
Yet causing no damage
I am immortal

A young man, giving up
Hangs himself
And yet I, somehow
Find it utterly beautiful
I am optimistic

A tattered statue
Stands tall, wings spread
Slowly falling apart
Yet still retaining meaning
I am captivated

:( The pictures aren't working...

I like this, thought the second stanza is a little too disturbing for me. Heh.
But, your words are very desciptive and also kind of beautiful.

Great write,
*hugs* Phil xxx

This poem is very odd especially the second stanza, but it is still a very good poem.
