Questions of Pain

Contributed by sride686 on Wednesday, 18th May 2005 @ 10:59:22 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Why do we live
And why must we die
What does God have
Planed for are lives
Why do we suffer
And why must we breath

I wish sometimes
My breath would leave
That God would strike
The life from me
So I can loss this Pain
and all this greed

Its hard to walk
As my knees get week
From my life of pain
And my life of grief
I need my strength
For my hearts gone week

Now I look to heaven and I start to yell
I curse God for this life of hell
Why must we live and why must we die
Why does God play with our ***** up lives
I know He smiles when He sees my grief
And ***** with my pain as He watches me bleed

I loved God once
and I loved His Son
But He turned His back
now Im hold this knife
For in hate I live and in hate I breath
For the Lord has walk away from me

What is the answer
For Ive last my pride
Ive lost my hope
And Ive lost my mind
I want to die and get it done
For my legs are tired from this run

As I sink the knife into my skin
when I pull it out Ill reach the end
With a bubble of blood
my life is through
Now Im lost to life
And Im lost to you

Wow, this was definitely a shout out to life's misery! I applaud your expressiveness and choice of imagery; and i thought the ending was particularly strong. Keep them coming and stay strong. dwayne

Hard-hitting poem Steve. I'm glad to see your bout of writers block has come to an end, but very sad to hear of your struggles...Stay strong my friend. I imagine that's harder to do with each day that passes, but try to hang in there...Take Care, Scorp.

I don't believe He's turned his back on you, nor you Him. I think He is just obscured by your inner turmoil. Hold on as you must endure all this struggle, make it home safe, where you can put all of this behind you. He does have His arms outstretch to you, and always will. In your time of suffering, it is He that will release your pain. God bless you for your strong write and write it all out so somewhere you may find a light at the end of the tunnel.
Angel always...godspeed...joni
