Angel Tears

Contributed by Daniels_Princess on Saturday, 4th June 2005 @ 04:23:58 PM in AEST
Topic: Suicide

Unexplored pain
Now released
Through slashes
Small but deep
Tears stream down
Like rivers overrun
Washing away life once known
Tears fall
From the eyes of an angel
Who fell from her once beloved Heaven
So unwanted
So confused
Her pain is turned
Into self abuse
Mixed up
So lost without him
There to guide her
To point out the path
Slowly peeling away
Gradually falling apart
Soon she will be
Forever more gone
Constant emotions
Never examined
Cowering in fear of
What the might do
A love known of
As have being wasted
Now so missed
Since it was broken
A heart now burning
Continually searching
For love and affection
Not knowing where to find it
Oh, how it hurts..
Tears fall
From the eyes of an angel
Broken winged
And somehow misplaced
Show her love
Yes, please have mercy
Hurt her not
For she is so fragile
One touch and she falls apart
Losing her grip
On sanity, reality
One sentence
Once so calmly spoken, now so rough
Harsh words, piercing skin
Empty pill bottle and
Sharp, gleaming knife
They've both served her well
A simple note
Attached to her body
Her final good-bye, stained with tears
Blood streams like
A path to the answer of why
But leads only to
More questions
Tears fall
From the eyes of an angel
her last cry for help
Was left unheard

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
