Broken hearts left to die Collapsing towers here today gone tomorrow Put me on the altar Shed a thousand tears forever I am the human sacrifice
Roaming the chambers in the dawns light Dripping wax falling from cream candles at night Distant dreams gathered close to your heart Take your dagger and tear them apart
The walls crumble around me The floor shakes beneath my feet I fear it is the end I will soon meet The sound of a gong vibrates loud and strong I close my eyes and pray. The day is slipping away There in the sky, the sun sets a deep red beauty beyond all sense
Saving my pain, clearing anothers sorrows hoping for better tomorrows You seem so cynical It is just unbelievable I take your place on the altar but no one to take mine I am the human sacrifice
As time goes by I soon come to see that this is not the duty assigned to me There is only one who can take away the pain Only one who can see through the dark and rain Come through the fog, explore the light The red beauty is in your sight The blood that was shed for you and me It is something I think we should all see We need to remember we cant do this alone I think His love for us was greatly shown As we rely on one another we also rely on our Savior Dont hurt yourself, turn to the light and soon you will be all right
