from the mist-shrouded abyss
of nowhere
like snowflakes
seemingly innocuous
but then
she affixes her gaze onto them
to get a better look
reaching out
for a feel of them
faulty blinkers in a blizzards
shine a spotlight on their shapes
so intricately grotesque
a lace collar of horror
woven from fear
stiff, enveloping,constricting
hems her in
Those light snowflakes
morph
tumbling into snowballs
bitingly cold yet confoundingly fuzzy
She pinwheels down the slope
in an avalanche
she hears only the frightful thunderous rumble
no time to breathe, to scream, to dream
happier times
So she is barricaded
like a bear ensnared, not hibernating
in an ice cave
blindingly white
so she cannot distinguish treacherous thoughts from timid truths
The notions are numbing
the ice packs together tighter
The white walls, like blank canvasses
are all she sees now
all around her, her theatre of projected terror
In one sequence, bambi/'/s blood splotches the pale winter blanket
she runs to the lake
and glimpses a reflection of Bambi/'/s murderer
ice pick in hand
An ice pick could save her now
but all the better to impale herself with
A hand reaches, an earnest rescuer
but she lacks the strength to make a grab for sanctity
the light in the cave is diminished
but not snuffed out
so she can still see all those tempestuous thoughts [comments] => 2 [counter] => 214 [topic] => 43 [informant] => CARAAAAA [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => oops )

I love visual reads like this...Great use of descriptives. It didn/'/t make me think of OCD personally, but perhaps my OCD tendencies are more fun than yours. It did paint a wonderful picture of something out of control, and I thank you for sharing.

Yeah.. all I can say... yeah I love your writing style and imagery. You my dear are a new favorite of mine. I have always preferred free style and awesome imagery.
