THOSE MOMENTS WHEN WE CRIED

Contributed by hray42 on Sunday, 29th May 2016 @ 04:21:08 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

those who will listen
are those who want it, or those who need it
i am talking in my sleep these nights,
and it is because i love you

i am picking up the pieces of myself
so that i may keep moving forward
our days spent together, and in warm arms
have left me totally blue

our shadows can now dance alone
under the faint glow of moonlit air
i will think of you fondly,
and will always yearn for the smell of your lovely hair

those eyes, they will search to haunt me
and that smile will forever remain
i will dance our dance eternal
as we did under cover, and in the rain

and in the loneliest of my times
when i still wish you by my side
i will come to love our laughter
and embrace those moments when we cried...

Dear hray42

Oh wow!
Known the feeling all too well for too long.
Beautifully penned.

A beautiful swirl of images, tied together with the string of a great and poignant ending.
Painted with powerful simplicity.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
