The list of things that I’ve done wrong
would choke a robin in mid-song.
My “thanks yous” owed but never said,
could make an ocean blush bright red.
The children that will follow me,
are in denial, happily.
I leave to them my silly treasures.
Goodwill will decide their measure.
Knowing that I can’t repay,
frankly dear, has made my day.
My epitaph will say it best;
she came, she saw, she took, she left.

This is precious, Jaye. I/'/m stunned there are no comments. You tugged me with the opening lines. "The list of things that I’ve done wrong would choke a robin in mid-song." Brilliant.
