Baby Girl

Contributed by Aurelia on Sunday, 20th September 2020 @ 03:42:43 PM in AEST
Topic: Grief

My soul misses your soul
Everyday

I never did spread your ashes
Nowhere is good enough
To leave you

I miss your sweet
Tiny little body
Your sass that
Could fill an opera house

I miss how
You would never leave me alone
You would always lend your warmth
To my tears

You needed me
As much as I needed you
You were my soulmate
I am so sorry
I could not keep your body alive
Much longer
But I am glad I was there
When you finally got to rest

When you were gone
I cried in front of people
For the first time
In decades
My grief was too large
I had to set it down sometimes

I had never felt a love before
As pure as mine for you

Si triste mais sincère et magnifiquement écrit. Nous vous aimons et vous soutenons. Dieu te bénisse.

Heart-wrenching! I couldn/'/t read this without choking, Aurelia. I felt your pain in every line. I still can/'/t stop the overwhelming salt in my eyes as I write.

Bless the little baby girl/'/s heart and may you find the tranquility that you need.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
