WEIGHT

Contributed by thehotshotpoet on Sunday, 18th May 2014 @ 02:43:36 PM in AEST
Topic: dedicatedpoems

walking around my property
just looking at my home
knowing it was never meant
to raise my son alone

still it is my challenge
it is what must be done
overcoming obsticles
as quickly as they come

I am just a man
with a heart so strong and true
searching for lifes happiness
just doing what I do

most people do not like me
but I dont give a damm
it's simply in my blood
and only who I am

my way to get attention
is with the words I write
it's far from being perfect
but it is my true insight

just a little poetry
to say I'm still around
lifting up my sririts
from the heart that weighs me down

such beautiful expression of feelings, tangible
vivid images with great style and flow, the only
one who matters is your son; as long as you and
he are right what anyone else thinks- well they
can go hang, blessings,

hugs n' love nessa

Hello Roy.

I've read some of your work might even commented on 1 or 2 pieces I'm not sure. However this one I just love. I admire fathers that go it alone. I myself was a single dad to a beautiful princess. Shortly my story. My daughter was born on the 25 October 2005 around 12am. A caesarian I was all dressed up and in the theatre to take her the moment she came out. The doc handed her to me so beautiful. Well at 2 weeks of age her mother told me. "Your child is driving me crazy" so I promptly packet my daughter a bag and took her with me on the road I was driving trucks then. She lived on the road with me till the age of 5. Then it was time for her to go to school so off to her mom she went. She lived with her mom for 18 months then was promptly returned to me in a very diabolical way by her mom. Now in this time I had found another lady in my life. We are married now and my daughter lives with us she will be 9 this year. She is very happy by us loves her step mom as her own mom. Even calls my wife mom. What I want to say to you is. Keep going on your doing a awesome job and the wright thing. I wish you and your son all the happiness and joy in the world.

Greetings
Rus
