"The poet/'/s task is this, my friend, To read his dreams and comprehend. The truest human fancy seems To be revealed to us in dreams: All poems and versification Are but true dreams/'/ interpretation." -Hans Sachs, The Meistersinger
Stubborn fatigue drop Bitter saline taste Egg on our face Eclipsing our view Goldenrod and rouge Shadow forlorn yolk Violet and tangerine Break from the plaster Two children run Hand-in-hand Through the jungle Cattails, weeds and grass That excitement, such vigor! String around our finger!
