You are RIGHT
Iraq was NOT worth fighting for
The lies they told you, the deaths
Have become a bleeding sore
The White House stands
And tells of its disgust
But the military men tell you
Them we do not trust
We told them how bad it was
They didnt want to know
They only want whats positive
And so the problems grow
The White House is incompetent
Going into this thing blind
And now we all must pay
For each WMD they cant find
After 9/11 it was Osama
HE was the goal
But Bush changed that to Iraq
And so he sold your soul
No, it was not worth fighting for
This illusion in the sand
They used fear and grief
And turned that to demand
Using 9/11 for THEIR OWN ends
They USED your grief and fear
These political manipulators
That we see right here
And now the name of America
Is synonymous with death
With sadism and sleaze
And hatred on its breath
Thats not the result you were hoping for
I know that this is true
The world despises your politicians
What they DONT despise is YOU
Between the liars and the lied to
They CAN differentiate
Its time to start afresh
And bring an end to hate
Bush and Cheney and the rest
Have abused their role
With incompetence so great
Your heart and mind they stole
They took a tragedy
In September 2001
They destroyed that goodwill
All now good and gone
They took that time and twisted it
To manipulate you all
Bush and Cheney and the rest
SURELY now must fall

i wholeheartedly agree!
though I'm not really good with the whole politics thing cuz i'm only 13, but i've got a vague idea..
i think all the killings are wrong,,,
whether it be the americans or the iraqis that are dying, it's all soooo wrong...
ok, about your poem=
i think it was magnificent.
it captured the words of a lotta people i know.
it provoked a lot of feelings in me..
a LOT...
and the flow was brilliant..

Now this is why I want to collaborate, but you seem to have layed down in this poem what I'd probably end up attempting to instill into a joint effort . . . and even better than i could, I'd wager.

Yes this entire deal went on because of 9-11 and Osama but he is still running free so I must agree with you, myself I want our troops back here seems we have enough messes in our own country to clean up rather than being everywhere else. Well done.
BRING OUR TROOPS HOME NOW!!!!!!!!
