Without a second thought
Or a third or fourth glance
The razorblade she pressed firmly
She needed to take the chance.
She knew there was no other way
She had lived with it for far too long
As she watched the blood trickle down her palm
She imagined so much with her gone.
As panic started to set in
As well as reality and the pain
Backgorund filled with drums and guitars and melodies
Silencing the fallen rain.
And from the bathroom mirror
And from the corner of her eye
She saw her beloved bedroom window
Her body preparing to die.
She remembered all the places
The snow she imagined to be so white
The memory, her childhood, simple happiness
Everything that made her feel all right.
And then her muscles went limp
Her entire essence hanging weak
The feeling of hot liquid on her wrists
With all her might she tried to speak...

This has been harrowing (yet disturbingly compulsive) reading so far. You have great character, Lindsey - I for one think its inspiring to know that you've got the courage to write about these things . . .
I am looking forward to the next volume with expectancy - although I do hope it exudes some positivity.
