Heckle and Hide

Contributed by Nazmythian on Tuesday, 5th April 2005 @ 02:53:48 PM in AEST
Topic: ambiguous

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Know they what has been done?
Nay, tis not possible
But the rain how do you miss the rain?
With certain sense to be sheltered, safe inside
Would then, not it be seen upon the pane?
Curtains drawn, and all abed, witness to nothing
Oblivious to all, which happens about them
Your secret remains safe
________________________________________________
Will I give myself away?
Most assuredly, if you continue with your prattle
But this burning inside of me, I need to speak of it
Someone must hear what I have done
Would you have yourself persecuted for it?
But of course not, it should be celebrated
And all will see it such?
The thunder of the deed shall fall prey to those
Whose voices cry out above it for justice
________________________________________________
But how can that be?
They will envy you and want your illumination
But I see in bursts of light, flashes dancing cross the sky
No matter, for they will all want to steal a ride
And search out any means by which to get one
What I have done they can all recreate
That you have it now, means more if they can spirit it away
They do not comprehend what it will take to nurture
How to make it grow, how to let it live
________________________________________________
Surely there is one who knows who dreams the same?
Indeed there is and that one is growing in power
Of what concern should that be mine?
That one exists, already within you
And your ability to control your actions is faltering
But you you were created to keep me strong
Can we can we alter this course of events?
The stage has been set, the die is cast, the pieces all in play
Would you then have me kill yet another?
Perhaps one who finally understands?
_____________________________________________________
No !!! There will be no more murder of innocence !!!
I shall have no more part in this charade !!!
I can hide, yes that is what I shall do
Hide, as you attempted from me? Ha!
You will recall that I found you hiding weak, near to giving up
I convinced you to carry on, continue the hunt
But this, is this what I have been searching for so long?
How will you know if you do not face it?
It matters little really, yea or nay
For from the truth
You can only hide
So long
That was gorgeous, a masterpiece, you did a really good job of
showing the conflicts that people have inside their own minds.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this, and it's definitely something
I will return to to focus on again and again. it's a favorite of all I've
read on this site. Awesome job.
Reason and Insanity...is that who they are. I think I've heard their discussions echoing across the world for some time now.
This is really incredible Scott. You have a very unique and original mind that is reflected freshly in your work!
Very enjoyable and contemplative. Ah, the voices...they never really go away, do they? Another fine write.
There's magic in this, Nazzy... but then, some part of you knows that already, doesn't it?
Oh! prattle on, dear Nazzy... please, please do. Something just tells me that in doing so, you will take hold of the power and a new sort of strength will come as a result.
Picturing you on the edge of a cliff, contemplating whether or not to leap and wanting to whisper... "it's the only way, Naz... to learn to fly".
